Contingut exercicis

Remember that:

  • For past simple, you need to use the verbs in the second column of the irregular verbs table (past simple form verbs).

I went to Italy with my family.

  • For past continuous, you need the verb “to be” in past (was/were) and add -ing to the main verb.

My dad was driving.

  • For past perfect you need “had” and the verbs in the third column of the irregular verbs table (participle form verbs).

I had been to Sydney before.

Imagine you have to tell a story using the past. You must connect and order your ideas using connectors. Some of the connectors you may need are:

First To start/begin with First of all Once I … I …
Later Next Then After that

Some of the expressions you may use when talking about the past are:

I remember / recall

I can remember some details

I can't remember very well but I think

I remember this as if it was yesterday

I don't remember

As far as I remember

I think

I still remember those days like they were yesterday
